History

Schutz Gymnastics and Physical Fitness Inc. is a family owned and operated business that began in 1975.  It's objective is to provide safe, fun, quality gymnastics and physical fitness instruction to boys and girls from pre-school to adult.

Our program was founded on an educational holistic premise, that sees each child as a spiritual, intellectual and physical being and places gymnastics and physical training into that context as a part.

We would like to offer your child the opportunity to grow and train in an environment that recognizes that each child is as important as another, regardless of talent, and will receive equal opportunity to develop those talents, while experiencing the joy of movement discovery, skill mastery, and artistic expression.

Our competitive philosophy centers around personal achievement and goal setting, recognizing that winning and losing are natural consequences of competition, but success of each child is viewed in comparison to each individual's goals, and not the expectation of adults, parents or peers.  Falling short of those goals is not viewed as failure, but as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Program Development

Child centered, integrating current physical education principles, pre-school education principles, latest gymnastic and physical fitness training methodology, sports medicine and safety concerns into an age appropriate fun experience.

Program Director

Bob Schutz - BA and MA in health and physical education, 40 years experience in gymnastic coaching and teaching physical education.  College Athletic Trainer.  USA Gymnastics Professional Member, USA Gymnastics Safety Certified. CPR certified.

Pre-School Director

Pat Schutz - BA in Liberal Arts and Early Childhood Education Certification, over 20 years of gymnastic teaching experience.  USA Gymnastics Safety Certified. CPR certified.
