Fall classes begin Friday, September 11, 2009
*****************************************************************************************************************************************
Reg/Ins Fee: An annual Reg/Ins fee of $40 per child is due at registration. No child may enter the gym without a signed permission slip.
Insurance: A copy of our insurance policy is available for you to view on the bulletin board. The insurance is a secondary policy and it picks up where your medical insurance leaves off. Each accident has a deductible amount of $200.
Make-Up Policy: Students are expected to attend class on the day and time for which they are registered. For the health and safety of all, please do not send them to gymnastics if they are sick or injured. Make-Up classes must be scheduled ahead of time, in existing classes, space permitting. All missed classes must be made up within a month of the absence. Please remember that make-ups are provided to you as a courtesy, and only currently enrolled students with up-to-date tuition payments are eligible. If available times are not convenient, it is not the obligation of Schutz Gymnastics to provide alternate times. Make-up classes cannot be used in lieu of tuition payments.
Inclement Weather Closings: In case of questionable weather, please call the gym or check out our web site.
Schedule: All classes are in session for 36 weeks, starting September 9 and finishing the 3rdweek of June, tentatively (depends on weather). Closings will be posted in the waiting room. Scheduled closings: Oct 31, Nov 26-29, Dec 24- Jan 1, Feb (President’s Week), a week in April, and Memorial Day week-end. Although tuition is paid in monthly installments, the yearly fee is based on your child attending 36 times during the year. Refunds will be given for health reasons only.
Demonstration: Although parents can stay and watch all the time, we are planning a demonstration in June. This is not a "big show" and will be kept very low key. Details will come later in the year.
Fees: Tuition is based on a yearly fee, which is divided into monthly payments. Payments must be made before the first class of each month for the student to be admitted into class. A late fee of $5 will be added to tuition if payment is not paid by the 5th of the month. Returned checks will result in a $35 fee added to your account. We do not take credit or debit cards. Sorry.
Quitting: If your child decides he or she does not want to continue taking gymnastics lessons, please send a note to the gym (instead of putting your payment in the basket, just drop in a note) 30 days prior to quitting time. You will be responsible for your child’s tuition until this time.
Refunds: Refunds will be given for medical reasons only.
Parking: Park only in designated areas and do not block traffic while waiting for your children. Building entrance is in the front. Please be cooperative--your children's safety depends on us all.
Class Procedures:
· Gymnasts must enter and exit the building through the front door. Children in after school classes must wait in the lobby until a parent comes in to get them. Pre-schoolers will not be dismissed from class until a parent arrives. Please pick your children up promptly.
Procedure for dismissal when parents are late: If parents are late picking up their children, they will be notified in writing of our late dismissal procedure. The following time they are late, parents will be billed to compensate for the time of our employees. For detailed information, please look below.
· Parents are welcome to stay and observe their child's class from the lobby area. Please do not distract your children while they are in class. It is important for them to learn to listen and follow our directions.
· Three year old classes are for children only. If your child needs you to stay with him/her, please join a parent and tot class.
· Gymnasts should:
-wear hair pulled back
-wear clothing that offers freedom of movement; no belts, buckles, jeans, zippers, jewelry, or loose tops
-notify instructor immediately of illness or injury
-call when absent to schedule a make up class (classes must be made up within a month of absence)
-gymnasts have the option of wearing gymnastics shoes (we sell them), bare feet, or cotton socks
-gymnasts may not enter the gym with gum or food
Gym location: We are located on Millpond Drive, just off Route 94, in Lafayette, near the Hampton border. Please call if you need directions.
Waiting Room Etiquette: We provide an unsupervised waiting area for you to use while you wait for your child. This is not an extension of the gymnastics area and is not to be used to practice gymnastics. Please supervise your children while you are in the waiting room and clean up after yourselves so the area is kept neat for others. The gym is not responsible for watching your children while you are there.
Late Dismissal Policy:
Parent 10 minutes late- 1st time- written warning
2nd and subsequent times- your account will be charged $10 for every 10 minutes you are late, beginning at class dismissal time.
This fee goes directly to your child’s instructor to compensate him or her for their time. Our instructors all have families, too, and need to go home when classes are over. No exceptions will be made.
